How to Burn LP Tokens on HyperEVM (2025 Guide)

Burning LP tokens on HyperEVM is the most trusted way to permanently lock liquidity and prove that no one—including the project team—can remove it. LP tokens represent your share of the pool, and once burned, they are gone forever. This ensures the liquidity cannot be rug-pulled or withdrawn.

🔥 What Are LP Tokens?

When you provide liquidity on HyperSwap or any HyperEVM AMM, you receive LP tokens representing your share of the pool. These LP tokens allow you to:

Withdraw liquidity
Claim trading fees
Prove ownership of a liquidity position

Burning these LP tokens permanently locks the liquidity, making it impossible for anyone to remove it.

⚙️ Requirements Before Burning

A MetaMask wallet
HyperEVM chain added (Chain ID: 999)
Your LP tokens in your wallet
A small amount of HYPE for gas fees

🚀 How to Burn LP Tokens on HyperEVM

1. Connect Wallet

Click Connect in the top-right corner of Hype Incinerator. Ensure MetaMask is switched to HyperEVM. If correct, it will show Chain: 999 under your wallet address in the website.

2. Auto-Detect Your LP Tokens

Click Auto-Detect Tokens. This will scan your wallet address and display all ERC-20 and LP tokens.

3. Enter the LP Amount You Want to Burn

Under the LP token you want to burn, enter the amount. If you wish to burn all liquidity, click MAX.

4. Approve + Burn the LP Tokens

When you click Burn, two transactions will appear:

Approve the token spend request
Sign the burn transaction

Once the second transaction is confirmed, the LP tokens are permanently destroyed.

Go to HyperEVMScan → paste your wallet address → your latest transaction will show the burn event, including:

LP token address
Amount burned
Final transaction hash
